Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Hairline Crack Repair in Main Support Beam of Foundation - Tillamook, Oregon
This customer called us because he noticed a hairline crack in his homes foundation. Our Design Specialist arrived to do an inspection of the issue. We found the hairline crack to be threatening the integrity of the foundation. To prevent the crack from worsening, and to restore the functionality, our crew installed multiple strands of Carbon Fiber Stitching over top of the cracks, to hold the beam in place. We chose this type of repair, because Carbon Fiber Stitching is 10 times stronger than steel, and will hold the foundation securely, preventing worsening of the crack. To create a more finished look, the homeowner also wanted a sheet of plywood placed in the doorway next to the now repaired foundation. After placing the plywood sheet, our crew also painted the plywood and Carbon Fiber Stitching to match the home! This homes foundation is now repaired, and the family can now rest assured knowing that the foundation and structure of their home has been safely corrected.
