This customer called needing her house posts replaced in the crawlspace. We replaced them with our inorganic smart posts that will never rust, break down, or rot like traditional posts.
Protecting the wooden posts in the crawl space is extremely important in maintaining the structural integrity of the home. This helps to prevent water from getting absorbed into the woods material and eventually leading to wood rot or mold growth. One way John's Waterproofing ensures that the wooden posts are isolated is with vapor barriers. We make sure to install the 6 mil vapor barrier between the concrete footing and the wooden post so that water won't have access to seep up in the post and damage it. Each seam of the vapor barrier gets overlapped so water can't seep over top of it and it is anchored to the foundation walls to prevent it from moving around. In order to safely protect your homes health, it's important to keep the crawl space dry and protected.
We encapsulated this crawlspace and installed a waterproofing system to transform this wet and gross crawlspace to a dry and clean space.
When you get our cleanspace encapsulation system installed and pair it with our closed cell spray foam insulation, you will not only have a dry crawl space, but a warm, energy efficient home as well.
The Cleanspace Encapsulation System was installed in this crawlspace to help keep out water, moisture, mold and help make the home more energy efficient. The dehumidifier was installed to help keep the moisture out of the crawlspace and to filter clean and healthy air into the crawlspace. This system will help keep this home dry and healthy for years to come.
