Homeowners called us when their energy bills kept going up. They had looked under their home and found falling and moldy fiberglass insulation and their old vapor barrier was encrusted in mud. We did a full encapsulation to get this home dry and healthy once more.
This homes large crawlspace had a simple 6 Mil vapor barrier installed, while the home didn't suffer from heavy water issues, the homeowners wanted to use this space for storage. To do so, the slope here would need to be flattened, and a material would be needed that would act as both a vapor barrier and wouldn't rip or tear if items were stored on it. To achieve this goal, the homeowners reached out to John's Waterproofing. We leveled out some shelfs for items to be stored on and we used CleanSpace. This 20 mil woven barrier has a 25 year warranty against rips and tears. As a precaution we installed a full drainage solution as well, and insulated the space with TerraBlock and Spray Foam will be added along the foundation walls.
Water and debris were all over this crawlspace and causing problems. We replaced the vapor barrier and installed a Smart Sump pump so that water won't be an issue anymore.
This customer called because her crawlspace had suffered damage from pests getting in. They ripped up her vapor barrier, fiberglass insulation, and her ductwork. Our crew went out and removed all the debris from the crawlspace from all the torn up vapor barrier and insulation and any other organic debris. This customer opted out of having an encapsulation done we still do 6 mils vapor barrier replacements. The customer was happy that our crew was quick and left no mess behind. She loved how clean her crawlspace looked after all the damage it had experienced.
This homeowner had a rather large crawl space that held his water tank system. Before he dreaded going down there to make any adjustments or check on things. It was wet and smelled very musty. Our crew installed a crawl space encapsulation system using our CleanSpace vapor barrier. After encapsulating, the crawl space looks clean and bright and the musty smell is gone. The homeowner no longer dreads going down there and says it stays warmer now without the air leaking out.
