This home suffered from high heating and cooling costs. Upon inspection they found their old fiberglass insulation falling in pieces in the crawlspace. To address this we did a full encapsulation to protect their home and lower their bills.
Mold was breeding behind the insulation in this crawl space and excessive ground moisture and open crawl space vents only added to the problem. Our encapsulation system and Sanidry CX will ensure that never happens again.
This homeowner had their crawlspace encapsulated, and to help the job suit their homes needs, they opted to have the space air sealed instead of applying spray foam to the entirety of the foundation walls. Air sealing keeps critters and bugs from creeping into the space, and keeps water and cool drafts from entering the space.
Not only did we make this a large storage space for the family, we removed all the unnecessary pipings and debris. Now the house has clean air and increased square footage which increases their home value!
This home had an addition added back in 2019 and noticed that the floors were starting to sag. They went and inspected the crawl space beneath this addition and found that the wooden posts were in bad condition. Water had seeped through and was absorbed into the wooden posts and beams that were supposed to be providing support for the foundation. Worried that the issue would worsen, the homeowner called John's Waterproofing. We were able to stabilize this part of the house by installing 3 SmartJacks and 10 feet of steel beams. SmartJacks are steel adjustable piers that are designed to offer support in areas where the wooden posts no longer can. They are made of material that won't rot or grow mold, making them able to withstand any environment. Luckily, by installing these SmartJacks and steel beams, we were able to resolve the support issues and the homeowner won't have to worry about sagging floors.
