This home had their energy bills going up. The top floor of the home was always colder or hotter than the rest of the home, indicating an issue with the attics insulation. Since the attic hadn't been checked in a long time, they decided to reach out to John's waterproofing for a free inspection. Their old insulation had compacted and lost most of its insulating value. To address this we pulled out the old insulation, air sealed around the protrusions in the attic, and blew in new cellulose insulation to the recommended levels.
Before - Old insulation
The old insulation had compressed and wasn't providing the needed r value to keep the homes temperature controlled.
Work in Progress - Clearing the Attic Out
We pulled the old insulation out, and then air sealed around each protrusion in the attic space.
Properly Insulated
We blew in cellulose to the recommended r value to make the home energy efficient
