This homeowner had a different company come in and install a basement waterproofing system. Unfortunately, their system did not hold and this basement became overflowed with water. The homeowner wanted a solution that would control the passage of water and have it directed out of their basement. They called John's Waterproofing to discuss their options and how it would be possible. We suggested doing a full basement waterproofing system, which includes installing a WaterGuard drainage system. To install the WaterGuard, first we have to jackhammer a trench along the interior perimeter of the basement. Once that is done, then we can install our WaterGuard in the trench. It is lined with gravel in order to filter the water that comes in. It is then connected to a TripleSafe sump pump which collects all the water that the WaterGuard sends in and pushes it out and away from the homes foundation. The WaterGuard has holes on top that can even collect water that stream down the foundation walls through cracks. We put inspection ports at the top of the system so that when we come to do annual maintenance it is an easy check to see if there are any clogs or problems without having to completely dig the system up. Once the WaterGuard is fully installed, our team covers it completely with concrete to give it a discreet look. Now the basement has a drainage system installed that will collect any water that tries to seep through and send it away from the homes foundation.
