It's not hard to see how important it is to have a sump pump that is installed properly and working the way it should. A TripleSafe Sump System is an incredibly reliable pumping system, keeping your basement and crawl space dry with triple protection.
Living in the persistently wet climate of the PNW, many homeowners are familiar with the frustration of water pooling around their homes, and invading their crawl spaces. This is where John's comes in! As your leading, local experts in all things waterproofing for over 50 years, our expert crews are here to help you defend your home against water damage. When water accumulates around foundation walls, hydrostatic pressure builds - creating deterioration of the concrete, the formation of jagged cracks, and erosion of the soil that supports the weight of the home. Homes rely on strong, sturdy, and intact foundation walls for stability. When these walls become damaged, the entire structure of the home suffers as a result, leading to sloped/bouncy interior flooring, shifting of subfloor framing, doors that don't easily shut, cracks in sheetrock, and in extreme cases - structural collapse. Ensuring a strong, intact foundation, is absolutely imperative to protect the stability of your home, and the safety of your family. This families home was suffering from water pressing against one side of their home. We sent out a specialist to do a free inspection, discussing a system that would address their major concern and fit within their budget.
To prevent water accumulation near the foundation of this home, we installed an exterior drainage system, parallel to the foundation wall. When installing an exterior system, our crew begins by digging a shallow, sloped trench, to hold perforated piping. As groundwater flows through the soil, it will be caught in the sloped piping, and routed downhill, rather than reaching the homes foundation and crawl space. On top of the piping, decorative gravel is placed to help water flow more easily into the drain, and to add a nice aesthetic appeal to the system. This system requires no electricity, as it utilizes gravity to collect and carry groundwater downhill. This type of system does not work for every household, an inspection is needed to see how this would benefit the home. John's has been professionally installing drainage in the PNW for decades, allowing families to enjoy peace of mind. Here at John's, we take great pride in providing WOW service to all customers, alongside our professional, effective installation of tried and true waterproofing systems, to help families thrive in dry, clean, and stable homes.
