Johns Waterproofing did a fantastic job of cleaning up my crawl space, from the presentation to the final touches. Everyone at Johns Waterproofing wants to see your issues resolved, and when they’re done, they want you to be happy with what they did. They are willing to guarantee their work, and when you accept all of their recommendations, your project may qualify for a transferable warrantee as well. We have a spring under our guest room, and our original builder didn’t adequately provide for that. The work he did was deteriorating at a rapid rate, until one day we were forced to confront the issue again. Not only did they remove all of our original builders “make-shift work around” debris, but they actually, permanently fixed the issue to a point where they were willing to warrantee the project “forever”, allowing us to transfer their warrantee to any new owner, should we ever decide to sell our house. I accepted all of their recommendations, and not only did they resolve all of my crawl space issues, my electric and gas bills have been significantly reduced as a result of the things they did in my new, clean space.   We couldn’t be happier with Johns Waterproofing, and their crews. Each and every member of Johns Waterproofing we came in contact with was very hard working, personable, and professional. We had two crews working in our crawl space and every single person was concerned about how they protected our house above the crawl space as well. They put plastic sheeting up on all the walls and floors, and cleaned up every day before they left. I can’t say enough good things about the work force at Johns Waterproofing. Aaron was very pleasant and his annual service of my system was amazing. He answered my questions, explained what he had done and even remembered me and my house from when he came out last year. The process has been amazing start to finish.

The crew came in and sealed and enclosed my crawlspace. Other than some small pieces of styrofoam in my yard it went very well. I'd highly recommend them. 

Lisa in the front office was great at working with our schedule for the inspection and following up and confirming. Jack our inspector was very thorough and took care of exactly what we were trying to accomplish.  While the crew was there they did an excellent job of communicating exactly what they were doing. What they expected to accomplish each day and when they left they explained what was scheduled for the following day. We had a couple of areas where we needed to make some minor changes on account of a noise problem in the crawlspace. We discussed a couple of solutions and picked what we felt would work bast.  The crew did a full clean up each day. Plastic down on all of the walkways and carpet. No clean up at all on our part. Five starts across the board, I would definetely hire them again.

I am talking, of course about Caleb. He has been coming to my house in Depoe Bay to inspect the clean space for the last few years. There were others that came out before him (the clean space was installed in 2010) and they were good, but they can not even come close to Caleb in professionalism, efficiency, courtesy, and superb manners. Enclosed and sealed off our coastal home crawl space.  Installed sump pump and backup with alarms and a dehumidifier.  We bought the house new in 2002 and began smelling a musty odor a couple years ago.  It got worse over time and we decided to either sell the house or fix the problem.  We opted to research the market and see if there was a fix available that made sense and had a good track record with similar problems.  We ultimately found John's and decided to go with him. The damp, musty smell from our crawl space was was worse in the winter when the crawlspace had some standing water in it.   There was a French drain installed by the builder but did not remove all the water in the winter and even in the summer, the dirt floor was always damp.  We talked with a couple contractors but John's was the only one who's solution made sense to us.  It costs a lot of money and the "sticker shock" was beyond our expectations, but we felt the solution - if it works as predicted - would be worth it (too early to tell since it has only been a little over a month installed.)   John's responded very quickly to our inquiry and immediately sent us a book written by the creator of the system they use.  It was was a great educational tool and helped us understand the causes of our problem and the likely options to fix it.   The person who came to our place did a check of the crawl space and took pictures and humidity readings and presented his solution as well as the price proposal.  We negotiated a bit on the price and the cash discount helped lessen the impact of the total amount.  Work was scheduled to start within a few weeks.  The work team showed up on time, neatly dressed and immediately started working.  They completely shielded our entry and hallways to the back bedroom where the crawlspace access was located.  This barrier stayed up during the entire process but they did take it partially down at the end of each day for ease of our access.  Work proceeded at a rapid pace as all the old floor insulation was removed along with the plastic sheeting on the dirt floor of the crawlspace.  They also removed all debris from the crawlspace, leveled the surface and created channels for water to run to the sump pit.  They inserted new waterproof barriers under all the support posts and then sealed the foundation vents with plastic covers and sealing compound.  They modified one of the vent covers to accommodate the dryer vent in that location.  Then they placed drains along the base of each foundation wall that will direct water to the sump pit.  The foundation walls were insulated and sealed at the top and then the heavy gauged material was placed on the dirt floor and sealed with heavy duty tape to create a seamless barrier between the always-damp ground and the crawl space environment.  The sump and back-up along with alarms was installed and the pump was connected through the foundation to drain into the storm water runoff ditch in front of our home.  The dehumidifier was the last bit of installation and followed by a complete and thorough clean up of everything.  The work was completed on the estimated schedule and we were absolutely delighted with the entire team.  They were always punctual, professional and easily accommodated the "little things" that always come up during any job. We have no reason at this point to doubt that it's success and every reason to be very happy with John's Waterproofing.

Again, very professional. Arrived on time and knew his business. Didn't talk down to me and offered me a couple of pricing options - no pressure. Perfect - no mess at all. Arrived on time. Lay down lots of plastic. Installed the sump pump and vapor barrier within about three hours and left leaving no trace of a mess. Very friendly.

Installed clean space encapsulation, expelled collected water with smart sump pump and installed SaniDry mini unit. Larry explained what needed to be done and was very professional. The office staff made scheduling around my time line and everyone was prompt and polite. The quality is hopefully excellent!

Everyone I worked with was a delight and the crawl space looks beautiful now.
